Thanksgiving and early Christmas

Linn's parents came to visit us for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Thankgiving day was spent eating lots of food - sticky bun, turkey, mash potatoes, green bean casserole, etc. - and watching football.

The guys were able to finish a few lingering house projects, such as replacing the garabage disposal and fixing the bathroom sink.

The women went shopping for Christmas presents and baked pies.

Nana and Papa gave us most of our Christmas presents and let us open them early.

Emmy and Mandy especially enjoyed opening their presents. They both received fairy tale figurines.

Jenny got a crock pot and "The Message" version of the Bible.

Linn got some BSU clothes and a MIDI cable for his keyboard/computer.

Fall pictures (4)

Our new church directory picture...it will need to be updated again in several months!
Mandy lounging around before church.
Breakfast. The girls almost always share a banana and Emmy just discovered one of her mother's favorite treats....Cocoa Pebbles. For some reason she likes them better than her customary Cheerios.

Our sweet, silly girls...they're turning into great pals!

Trick or treating at HP with Dad. Emmy was a cow and Mandy a bunny rabbit. They loved going around to each cube gathering up candy. Within about half an hour, they had enough candy for all four of us to last for several weeks.
We're trying to find new ways to keep Mandy's bangs out of her eyes...here's one style I thought was pretty sweet.

Emmy's first jack o' lantern....she just wanted to keep blowing out the candle inside!

The girls love to play with blocks. They had an especially good time playing with them in this flower box I brought home from work one day.

After church...what cute little girls!
